Marvel Team-Up #66 - John Byrne art & cover + 1st Arcade

Marvel Team Up #66
Marvel Team-Up v1 #66, 1978 - Spider-man and Captain Britain are imprisoned in Murder World, a deadly game-like environment created by the diabolical Arcade. The villain appears in shadow in the previous issue, but makes his first full appearance here. John Byrne's artwork is appealing enough, yet he enhances the readers' enjoyment with creatively inspired layouts. The second spread makes use of a pinball machine's shape while touting the story title. Similarly, the game's symmetrical orientation perfectly fits the panel sequences on page 11. Dave Hunt proves to be a more than capable inker. This is 11 of 22 Marvel Team-Up issues by Byrne. /// key 1st appearance, 1st cover Arcade / Byrne gallery
