Rog 2000 - John Byrne art, cover & reprints

John Byrne
Rog 2000, 1982 - Not long after receiving acclaim on Uncanny X-men and other Marvel titles, some of John Byrne's early works were re-presented in this one-shot from Pacific Comics. These Rog 2000 back-up tales first appeared in Charlton Comics' 1975 E-man series. Included are "That Was No Lady" from E-man #6, "Withering Heights" from E-man #7, "The Wish" from E-man #9 and "Rog 2000 vs the Sog" from E-man #10. Sadly, the stories lose something in black-and-white, and I prefer the original color versions noted above. On the plus side, two previously unpublished bronze age works, "Coming of the Gang" and "How to Draw Rogie 2000" finally see the light of day. This is 1 of 1 Rog 2000 issues by Byrne.

I'm lucky enough to have this issue, but you're right - it would have been better in colour.
